City Hluboká nad Vltavou is a city of culture, sports, relaxation and gastronomic options, with facilities to cater for every visitor.

History of the town
The city's history is intertwined with deep royal castle, founded along with nearby Ceske Budejovice in the mid-13th century by King Ottokar II.
The settlement that grew around the castle deep, with the original name of the castle, was elevated to a town in 1496 by William of Pernštejna. The town deep nad Vltavou the merged villages around the castle, Hammer, Podskalí and Zámostí, became the Imperial decree of 1907.
Other owners of the castle Deep Ondřej Ungnad of hams, Joachim of Hradec and his son Adam gradually rebuilt the medieval castle into a Renaissance residence. From 1661 to 1947, the castle was held by the Schwarzenberg family, who between 1839 -1871 was rebuilt in its present form in the spirit of romantic neo-Gothic according to Windsor Castle in England. The chateau is centered rich interior with valuable furniture, unique carvings, a number of paintings, rare tapestries, art glass and porcelain.
Around the castle is the large English park with many rare species, of which there are beautiful views of the nearby Czech Budejovice, Mts Mts. Park turns into parking lots specifically adapted for centuries shaped the economic landscape with ponds (Bezdrev, Munický, Hope, Zvolenov, poříčskou) and tree-century-old oaks with kočárovými ways, big and pheasantries.
