Chýnovská KRAS
It is a small area of karst area linked to formation of crystalline limestone Chýnovská-lane ledečského the colorful group of rocks in geological Moldanubicum. It is located on the southwestern edge of the highlands in Pacovské hills near the town Chýnova. The limestones are stored together with amphibolites in the surrounding two-mica pararulách and the entire band is divided into several smaller blocks. This allows outside Chýnovská Cave karst phenomena also observed in the vicinity of the village of prisoners in the valley of Josaphat, and especially Velmovice.
Chýnovská CAVE
It is situated in the southern slopes of the mountain pacova (589 m above sea level) near the bottom Hořic, 2 km northeast of Chýnova.
It is a complex karst system, created in coarse crystalline limestone and partly in karst rocks amphibolite, mostly corrosion activities underground water flow.
It lacks the classic stalactite, is absolutely unique, distinctly carved caves and extremely variegated walls and ceilings.
It is important geological and mineralogical locality.
It is the largest natural ciliary bat roosts in Europe.
Was discovered in 1863 during mining of limestone in one of the former peasant quarries and since 1868 is the first cave opened to the public in the territory of Bohemia and Moravia, and still keeps the original romantic character of its disclosure.
Total length discovered so far in 1400 is part of the ms height difference (denivelation) 74 m, almost a quarter of the shaft cave is permanently inundated.
Visiting circuit length is 220 m elevation of 42 m, the average duration of the tour is 40 minutes.
Temperature on the trail of a 5-9 C, humidity 96 to 100% in some areas inaccessible winter temperature drops to below freezing.
In 1992 he was included in the category of national natural monument.
