Dominates the skyline of the city with its 72 meters until recently the tallest building in the city. In the past served as a belfry and watchtower. For it offers a magnificent view of the Budějovice and vicinity.The tower has a total of five bells (the largest and youngest Bumerin name Budvar)

Black Tower Construction took place from 1549 to 1577. Renaissance Tower served as the guardtower and belfry. At the height of the gallery is clockwork. After climbing 225 stairs is the height of45.67 meters magnificent view of the Czech Budejovice and surroundings.
